Our EMD NYI Council

NYI President - Troy Supple

Troy Supple serves as our EMD NYI President. Troy oversees Production & Social Media at Flushing Church of the Nazarene.

Troy has been involved in youth ministry for 18 years. He says, “I love youth ministry because the youth are not just the future of the church, they are the church here and now.”

When asked why he wants to serve on EMD NYI, Troy said, “I serve because God calls us to be the body of Christ and I love to see how God uses each individual person for his purpose within the body.”

Troy’s encouragement to anyone looking to get involved in EMD NYI is this: “I truly believe we are better together and we need each other to build one another up. The more we can get together, build community, and connections with others outside our church is a good thing. It helps us see how big the body of Christ is.”

Fun fact about Troy is that he has two different color eyelashes: one is blonde, one is brown.

Vice President - Mike Graham

Michael Graham services as our NYI Vice President for the EMD District. Mike is the Lead Pastor at East Flint Church of the Nazarene.

Mike has been involved in youth ministry now for 23 years. Mike says, “I absolutely love youth ministry because it is a place where faith becomes real for so many, where God’s love expands, it sparks my creativity, and of course it keeps me young.”

When asked why he wants to serve on EMD NYI, Mike said, “I serve because Jesus loves middle and high school students where they are at and Jesus has given me the same love for them as well. I truly enjoy journeying through life with students, parents, and leaders, collaborating with each other, encouraging one another, and loving others as we love God.”

Mike’s encouragement to anyone looking to get involved in EMD NYI is this: “The church is bigger than just the individual or individual church and when we come together as a district EMD NYI, more can be accomplished because we are better together than alone. We are built for community and we need each other.”
